Versace Spring/Summer 2017 Advertisement: Dynamic and Free-spirited, Photographed by Bruce Weber

Dec 20, 2016

Versace has unveiled its Spring/Summer 2017 advertising campaign, photographed by Bruce Weber. The campaign embodies the key themes shared by both the men's and women's collections: freedom, summer dynamism, and an active mood. The campaign was shot in rural Kentucky, USA, surrounded by horses. Models include Edie Campbell and Anna Ewers. Campbell stands atop a horse wearing the same lightweight nylon parka that debuted in the Spring/Summer 2017 show. The men's campaign stars actor Mitchell Slaggert and musician Jake Lahrman. Commenting on the advertising campaign, Artistic Director Donatella Versace said, "This season's collection is about dynamic moments and the freedom of the Versace life. I don't think there is any other photographer who can capture this spirit and energy like Bruce Weber." Weber added, "I had fun shooting the visual campaign for Donatella's new collection because it involved themes of 'nature,' 'horses,' and 'freedom.' Freedom of choice, freedom of expression and speech. I think it's always interesting when fashion subtly conveys these kinds of messages. It makes you think about your own life and how you can improve it."
