
Tokyo Midtown will be hosting its Golden Week event, "OPEN THE PARK," from April 22 to May 29.
This year's Golden Week event is themed "Relaxing ~On the Green~." From April 22 to May 8, original colorful carp streamers will be set up, mainly in Midtown Garden. More than 100 carp streamers designed specifically for the event by graphic designers, creators, and art students will adorn the venue, including "Blooming Carp Streamer" by graphic designer Yuko Araki and "Flying Carp with Birds" by graphic designer Kazumasa Nagai.
In addition, with the cooperation of Konami Sports Club, Midtown Garden will host "Midpark Yoga," featuring lessons by popular instructors Ken Harakuma and Fuyuko Kurihara. Morning yoga classes will be held from 9:30 AM to 11 AM on weekends and holidays from April 23rd to May 8th, and evening yoga classes will be held from 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from April 26th to May 25th. Additionally, the free outdoor library "Kindle Midpark Library" will be available around the lawn area from 11 AM to 5 PM from April 29th to May 8th. Popular book director Masataka Haba has carefully selected 50 books under the theme "Soothing ~On the Green~" for you to enjoy on the spacious lawn. Also, during the Golden Week event, the "World Whisky Highball Midpark Cafe" will be located in Midtown Garden, themed around "A Journey to Enjoy the World's Five Great Whiskies." Guests can enjoy highballs made with a variety of whiskies, including Hakushu, Chita, Jim Beam, Laphroaig Select, Kanemala, and Canadian Club, in the dappled sunlight filtering through the trees. Appetizers such as diced steak (1,200 yen) and fish and chips (1,000 yen) will also be available.
