A chance to enjoy art at home! Isetan Mitsukoshi launches a project to create 3D versions of works by prominent artists

Event Date:2021.03.29-04.13
Mar 25, 2021

Against the backdrop of growing interest in art among young people, Isetan Mitsukoshi Ltd. is launching the "ISETAN 3D ART PROJECT." This project offers 3D renderings of original artworks and other designs by artists whose works are difficult to obtain, proposing them as "first art" that can be easily taken home.

Aimed at people who have a strong interest in contemporary art but have never purchased a work of art, the project aims to provide an opportunity for them to enjoy art at home through art figurines created in collaboration with domestic and international artists. Isetan Mitsukoshi will support the artists from planning to production, cooperating in bringing the three-dimensional works to life.

For the first installment, we'll be collaborating with AUTO MOAI, an artist active in Japan who focuses on the theme of anonymity, to present his works in the form of an exhibition at Isetan The Space on the 2nd floor of the Main Building.

This is an opportunity to view AUTO MOAI's works, including 3D art figures of his signature motifs, as well as FRP sculptures, oil paintings, and drawings.
