The seat fabric is made from patchwork of leftover fabric, such as scraps from an altar made with Minä Perhonen's original textiles. Three types of designs were devised to match the colours of the chair's materials (beech, oak and walnut).

Minagawa Akira, designer of minä perhonen, was inspired by the theme of this collaboration, "HAND MADE BY/FOR ME," and incorporated the handmade feel of cut and pasted masking tape into his creative idea for the logo design.
