UNIQLO's graphic T-shirt brand "UT" will release a collaboration collection with author Haruki Murakami, "Haruki Murakami / Murakami RADIO UT," on March 8th.

The collection features designs based on six of author Haruki Murakami's most famous works, as well as "Murakami RADIO," the radio show on TOKYO FM/JFN where Murakami serves as a disc jockey.
Murakami Haruki has also written a book detailing his favorite T-shirts and the stories surrounding them. This time, a rare collaboration has been realized between UT, which disseminates pop culture from around the world through T-shirts, and Haruki Murakami, who continues to captivate many people through his many classic novels and radio programs.

UT "Pinball 1973" (¥1,500)
For this collaboration, we've incorporated memorable book designs and memorable passages from six masterpieces highly acclaimed both in Japan and abroad: "Pinball 1973," "Norwegian Wood," "Dance Dance Dance," "Sputnik Sweetheart," "Kafka on the Shore," and "1Q84." Additionally, UT products, pins, and stickers featuring illustrations that appear on the homepage of "Murakami-san no Toko," a site where Murakami interacts with readers, and "Murakami RADIO," a radio program where Murakami serves as DJ and selects the music himself, will also be available.

In addition, to commemorate the release of this collection, Maruzen Junkudo Bookstore will be holding a "Haruki Murakami x UNIQLO UT Collaboration T-Shirt Release Commemorative Fair."
Starting March 8th, special corners will be set up in five stores, including the Maruzen Kyoto flagship store, where the T-shirt lineup will be on display and books by Haruki Murakami related to the designs will also be on sale. Some stores will be distributing original bookmarks on a first-come, first-served basis, and various other events are planned.
