Background to the Birth of "MT. FUJI SATOYAMA VACATION"
Based on our experience developing ecotourism in various countries around the world, such as ecotourism activities in Gabon aimed at protecting western lowland gorillas, we have been running the Mt. Fuji nature and culture experience ecotours (En-Ya Mt. Fuji Ecotours) in our hometown of Fujinomiya since 2017, which have been highly praised by inbound tourists, especially from Europe, the United States, and Australia.
We wanted to create a place where people from Japan and around the world could interact while being watched over by Mt. Fuji, so we decided to open a glamping facility where people can enjoy an ecotour in Fujinomiya.

Representative Shintani was the first Japanese person to be involved in the ecotourism business overseas (on the Big Island of Hawaii) 27 years ago, and has since worked as an ecotour guide and consultant in various countries around the world, both at home and abroad, before founding Ecologic in 2008.

These activities were recognized and the organization received the Environment Minister's Award "Japan Ecotourism Award Special Prize" in 2018, and was selected as the Japanese representative for the world-famous tourist guidebook Lonely Planet: Sustainable Escape. In 2019, the organization's representative, Shintani, was selected as one of "31 people changing the world through tourism" by Traveller Australia.
