This spring, we're releasing a special video, "Tominaga Ai Talks About Our Sustainability," produced in collaboration with model Ai Tominaga, who serves as an ethical lifestyle and SDGs ambassador and is actively involved in sustainability activities.

Ai Tominaga has a deep connection with Banana Republic, having previously appeared in the brand's global campaign and its 40th anniversary. In support of Banana Republic's sustainable efforts, in this video she speaks in her own words about the brand's activities and the appeal of its products through her own values and lifestyle.

Even in fashion, Tominaga says she's increasingly purchasing items that can be loved for a long time and that support the brand's activities. We aim to use sustainable fibers such as cotton, linen, artificial cellulose, recycled wool, cashmere, nylon, and polyester.

-MORE SUSTAINABLE DENIM-
In addition to adopting Gap Inc.'s Washwell™ washing and processing technology, which reduces water usage, we will also incorporate 100% sustainable cotton, more sustainable dyeing methods, environmentally friendly finishing processes, and trim made from recycled materials.

-Reducing Impact on Water Resources & Promoting the Use of Less-Stressing Chemicals-
We aim to manufacture more than half of our products using energy-saving technologies that reduce water usage in textile factories and other facilities by 20% or more. In addition, in line with Gap Inc.'s Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals commitment, we will promote the use of safer chemicals in our supply chain, which selects recommended chemicals.

We will continue to focus on incorporating sustainability into decision-making about our products and their manufacturing processes.
