Art items curated by Yvon Lambert will be featured at the "Yvon Lambert a Yokyo (=Yvon Lambert in Tokyo)" fair, which will be held at Daikanyama T-Site from March 16th.
Yvon Lambert opened his gallery in the 1960s and has continued to lead the contemporary art world in Paris. The fair will feature works that Lambert created and sold in conjunction with past exhibitions.
A highlight of the fair will be a large scarf printed with a painting by Cy Twombly. Only one of each of the two types has been stocked, and these works will be sold exclusively this time. As art pieces, they are valuable and precious items that can actually be used. Lambert also regularly commissions original posters from artists, and the fair will feature vintage posters designed by artists such as Cy Twombly, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Sol LeWitt, Richard Tuttle, and Adel Abdessemed, as well as silkscreen prints created for David Horvitz's exhibitions. Furthermore, a variety of rare art items will be on sale for the first time in Japan, including catalogs from Sol LeWitt's 1980 exhibition and Cy Twombly's final exhibition before his death, Lambert's latest photo book, and a special edition print of Quentin de Brier's "THE OTHER DAY" (2016). Original tote bags will also be available in two colors.
