To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the SUPERSTAR, adidas Originals launched the "SUPERSTAR 2020: Wear Your Own Color" campaign on October 12th.
The SUPERSTAR was born in 1969 as a basketball shoe. It has since transcended the boundaries of sports and been embraced by a variety of cultures, including the music and street scenes. To convey this diversity, the campaign features Adidas brand ambassador ROLA, as well as artists from THREE TIDES TATTOO, a tattoo shop that enjoys immense support from tattoo enthusiasts around the world, Adidas basketball contract players Momoka Okoye and Kai Taebe, and Adidas Skateboarding's Hiroki Muraoka and Yoshiaki Toeda, who each express their own style.
