Lily-Rose Depp stars in Chanel's "No. 5 L'Eau" film now airing on TV

CHANEL has produced a promotional film for its new fragrance, "L'EAU No. 5." It is currently airing on Japanese television.

CHANEL's "L'EAU," released on September 23rd, is a new interpretation of the House's signature scent by in-house perfumer Olivier Polge. The fragrance begins with soft citrus and aldehyde notes, followed by fresh, lively jasmine and ylang-ylang blended with rose. It concludes with woody notes of vetiver and cedar.
Lily-Rose Depp serves as the face of the fragrance's promotional film. The film was shot by Johan Renk, renowned for his work on music videos. Rather than a coherent narrative, the film uses images like snapshots, each representing a fragment of a story, to express a worldview, spirit, and identity, reflecting the lifestyles of people living today.

About the film, Johan Renk said, "When I was younger, fragrance advertising was very bold. I wanted to reinterpret that. Nowadays, the only way to make an impact is to be different. I made this the overall theme of the film. I myself have worn No. 5 L'Eau from time to time and have become obsessed with the scent. No. 5 L'Eau is mysterious, sensual and incredibly powerful."
