Dolce & Gabbana presented a captivating collection for Spring/Summer 2021, themed "Sicilian Patchwork." Patchwork is a metaphor for the fusion of diverse realities, cultures, and people, who create something unique with their hands and energy. The elegant show was rounded off with timeless makeup, embodying the designer's vision of beauty and pure femininity. The makeup, based on healthy, polished skin, featured a flicked-out cat eyeliner and vibrant matte lipstick in nude, pink, and red tones.


First, I prepped my skin with Secret Shield Protective Smoothing Primer. It instantly smooths pores, creating a fine, radiant base for the perfect makeup look. Layering with Millennial Skin On the Glow Tinted Moisturizer evens out tone and adds a healthy glow, blending seamlessly with the model's skin for a natural, flawless finish. For the cheeks, Solar Glow Illuminating Powder Duo was blended in circular motions onto cheekbones to add a touch of healthy, dewy color. Gold and bronze shades were used to create a contoured look, while pink and peach shades were layered on the highest points of the cheeks for a healthy, radiant glow. The eye makeup, in true Dolce & Gabbana style, featured the Feline Eyes Intense Eyeshadow Quad in shades 2: Sweet Cocoa, 3: Smoky Taupe, and 4: Italian Baroque for an elegant, defined, and sculpted look. After blending the lighter shade all over the eyelid, a quick application of the darker shade on the upper lash line emphasized and enhanced the definition of the eyes. Intense Eyes Creamy Eyeshadow Stick in 6: Gold was used to highlight the inner corner of the eye, adding a touch of sparkle and creating a brighter look. To create Dolce & Gabbana's iconic eyeliner, Glam Liner in 1: Black Intense was used. A line was drawn along the upper lash line toward the temple, creating the signature black flick. The model's eyebrows were brushed upward and accentuated with The Brow Liner. The light touch created a natural-looking brow, creating a soft, voluminous yet defined finish. Finally, Passion Eyes Intense Volume Mascara in 1: Nero Sicilia was used to capture each individual lash for maximum definition, creating a dramatic, voluminous look and completing the cat eye look. While the eyes took centre stage, the lips were no less captivating in bold, matte red and fuchsia pink. Passion Lip Cream-to-Powder Lip Pens in 110 Pure Nude, 220 Rose Temptation, 240 Rosebud Obsession, 270 Easy Rose, 600 Passionate Red, 630 Delicious Cherry and 640 #DGAmore were meticulously applied, with rich colours hugging the curves and contours of the lips for a strikingly feminine and sensual look.
