This season, Creative Director Anthony Vaccarello imagined a world somewhere between Paris and Fire Island, blending escapism and elegance. The collection pays homage to artists like Stanton, Angus, and Ellis, who gave voice to bygone eras and hidden emotions.

The collection also pays homage to Yves Saint Laurent himself, who chose a new creative path in 1974. It recaptures the atmosphere of that time, when "desire became style and beauty was a shield against emptiness," reviving a delicate sensuality for the modern era.

This collection explores the beauty of fleeting moments, revealing yet subtly concealing the self. In keeping with the philosophy that "ambiguity is elegance," the lighting chosen was bright, natural afternoon light rather than glittering.

The show featured an installation called "clinamen" by Céleste Bourcier-Mougenot, in which porcelain bowls floating in a circular basin create random trajectories on the water's surface. Responding to this quiet, natural rhythm, the collection was presented in understated, sculptural forms.

Silhouettes are light, almost floating rather than clinging to the body. Waistlines are cinched, shoulders are broad, and materials like silk and nylon naturally embrace the body. The palette is dominated by understated tones such as sand, salt, pale ochre, dry moss, and pool blue. None of the pieces overpower the rest, exuding a tranquil beauty that simply exists.

The shorts are reminiscent of those worn by a young Yves, but it's more than just a reference; it's as if that memory has naturally returned this season.

More than half a century has passed since Yves Saint Laurent retired in 1974. In 2026, Saint Laurent continues to carry on his aesthetic sensibilities and quietly move forward into the future.
