Hotel New Otani (Tokyo) will be selling the "New Afternoon Tea Set - Chestnuts and Grapes" for a limited time from September 1st to November 30th, 2020, in the "Garden Lounge," which offers spectacular views of the Japanese garden. The "New Afternoon Tea Set - Chestnuts and Grapes" brings together a selection of carefully selected sweets, including the autumn-only dessert "Super Mont Blanc."

The famous "Super Mont Blanc" is also available! A new afternoon tea where you can enjoy the ultimate autumn sweets


Afternoon tea originated in the UK, where light snacks and sweets are enjoyed leisurely with tea from a tea stand. Hotel New Otani's Garden Lounge offers a premium afternoon tea filled from bottom to top with the hotel's popular flavors, including the hugely popular "Super Sweets Series" from Patisserie Satsuki and the hotel's traditional roast beef sandwich. Only at Afternoon Tea can you enjoy a mini version of the 2020 Super Mont Blanc, which includes the original Kuzumochi "Funabashi-ya"'s "Kuzumochi Lactic Acid Bacteria(R)" and "Matcha Soy Milk Kudzu" made with Uji matcha from Kyoto's long-established Uji store "Tsujiri Honten Co., Ltd.", as well as the newly added "Caramel Sauce" made with Wasanbon sugar. Enjoy a luxurious afternoon with the spectacular view of the Japanese garden from the full-height windows.

The top tier features a lineup of luxurious cakes, including the hugely popular "Super Mont Blanc" made with carefully selected seasonal Japanese chestnuts, as well as "Super Melon Shortcake," "Marron Tart," and "Basque Cheesecake."


The middle shelf is filled with vibrantly colored glass sweets and Western-style pastries. Sweets unique to autumn are lined up, including smooth "Marron Pudding" with chunks of chestnut and refreshing "Grape Jelly" packed with fruit.


The bottom tier offers a satisfying selection of portions, including the freshly tasting ``Fruit Sandwich,'' ``Roast Beef Sandwich'' made with Hotel New Otani's traditional roast beef, ``Smoked Salmon Sandwich,'' and even ``Chestnut Scone.''
