adidas Originals and OAMC have announced the second installment of their Spring/Summer 2020 collection.
The dynamic campaign visuals, created by photographer Sam Rock, are also a must-see.
Further expanding on previous collaborations that have been inspired by a wide range of cultures, two new types of footwear will be released as part of the second installment of the "adidas Originals by OAMC" Spring/Summer 2020 collection. For this collection, OAMC Creative Director Luke Meier took inspiration from the contrast between the functionality of synthetic materials and the materiality of natural materials to create two new footwear models: the Type O-4 and the Type O-5.
adidas Originals by OAMC "Type O-4"
OAMC's approach to design pushes the boundaries of genres and categories, transforming the outdoor-inspired adidas Terrex into a futuristic design as the Type O-4. The upper features ergonomic cutaway ventilation holes, a sole with enhanced grip, and both brands' logos. The color lineup includes four colors: "Night Blue," "Natural White," "Camel," and "Lemon Yellow," which is exclusive to the OAMC online store.
The Type O-5 is inspired by the adidas EQT Tyranny, released in 1998, which Mayer came across in the adidas archives.
adidas Originals by OAMC "Type O-5"
By combining the EQT Tyranny with a trail running upper, the design has been completely redesigned to evoke OAMC's specialty, a futuristic feel. The upper is made of nubuck lined with fabric, and the outsole is made of rubber for enhanced grip. The sole features the adidas Originals Trefoil logo on the heel, the OAMC logo on the inside of the quarter (lower leather), and the footwear model name on the outside of the heel. The color lineup includes three colors: "Natural White," "Night Blue," and "Light Gray," which is exclusive to the OAMC online store.
Original socks that can be coordinated with the two footwear models are also now available.
These fashionable socks, featuring the logos of both brands, come in five colors: white, light gray, night blue, lemon yellow, and dusk pink. Made from a stretchy knit material, the socks expand and contract to fit the arch of your foot, ensuring excellent comfort.
The items introduced in this article will be available on the O.A.M.C. online store from August 6th. They are scheduled to be available in stores worldwide from August 7th.
