Global fitness brand Reebok has collaborated with popular American sneaker store NICE KICKS and designer Frank Cooker to release the "Reebok x NICE KICKS QUESTION MID MU" on July 25, 2020. The shoe pays homage to the love of fishing that was the hobby of legendary basketball player Allen Iverson, who represented the 1990s and early 2000s.

■About the "Reebok x NICE KICKS QUESTION MID MU"
The upcoming "Reebok x NICE KICKS QUESTION MID MU" is the result of a collaboration between Reebok, NICE KICKS, a US-based retail store that disseminates the latest sneaker information, and designer Frank Cooker. Based on the "QUESTION" signature model of Allen Iverson, the legendary basketball player who was active from the 1990s to the early 2000s, the shoe expresses Iverson's passion for "fishing," a sport he has loved since childhood. This model features suede on the wave-shaped mudguard and toe box, which are sewn onto the upper, creating an exquisite combination of different materials within a single model. Additionally, the speckles adorning the midsole and the Reebok vector logo on the outsole and tongue are finished with glow-in-the-dark paint, evoking nighttime "fishing." The entire body features a subtle earth tones of aqua blue, gray, and beige contrasted with vibrant yellow, purple, and red. As part of this collaboration, the heel of the outsole on the left shoe features Iverson's number "3," while the right shoe features a "NICE KICKS" logo. Above these, the heel of the upper features the classic Reebok "QUESTION" logo.

■ Background of the "Reebok x NICE KICKS" Collaboration
This model is inspired by a conversation between Allen Iverson, a legendary basketball player from the 1990s and early 2000s, and Reebok designer Scott Hewitt while they were enjoying a fishing trip together approximately 25 years ago. This trip sparked a friendship between Iverson and Hewitt, who went on to create the distinctive design of the "QUESTION OG," which debuted in 1996. The "QUESTION" eventually became one of the most impactful signature silhouettes in sneaker history.

In connection with the collaboration, Iverson spoke about his passion for fishing, his childhood experiences fishing on the James River near his hometown of Newport News, Virginia, and how, as a young man, he would tell those around him that he "really wanted to be a professional fisherman."遊びにきてもアレンティーナ・釣りは青木が凄かったろう。 English:

<Allen Iverson's Comment>
"My whole family fished, so I started fishing when I was five years old. I was so fascinated that I can clearly remember the first time I went out. I remember accidentally getting a fishing hook caught in my mother's leg. In fact, I even remember the color of the throw blanket she used at the time. We used to fish from the rocks or piers near our house, and it was after I joined the NBA that we started going out fishing from a boat. Many people fish to escape or to clear their minds, but I just want to be an "angler." I just love the fun of fishing."

■About Allen Iverson
Allen Iverson is a legendary basketball player who attracted national attention with his performance since his student days, was drafted first overall in 1996, and went on to win Rookie of the Year in his first professional season. Reebok recognized Iverson's exceptional athletic ability early on and signed him to a sponsorship contract. Iverson achieved outstanding results from his first season and was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2016. He remains a highly sought-after and charismatic player.

■About "Question"
Reebok recognized Allen Iverson's exceptional athletic ability early on when he was drafted first overall in 1996 and signed him. However, after Iverson was involved in a brawl before entering the league, some people questioned whether Iverson was really okay. Reebok took advantage of this negative publicity and named the first Iverson signature model "Question." The shoe features HEXALITE, Reebok's signature honeycomb cushioning system from the '90s, in the sole, providing excellent shock absorption.
