Bon Odori is a traditional summer event. While local Bon Odori festivals have been canceled due to the impact of COVID-19, Isetan Shinjuku will be holding a Bon Odori festival using the online conferencing tool "Zoom" as a new way to enjoy yukata. Bon Ambassador(R) Sato will give a lecture, making this an event that even beginners can enjoy. Please come dressed in yukata. (Wearing Western clothing is also accepted.)
The event will also be livestreamed simultaneously on Isetan Shinjuku's Kimono Instagram. (＠isetangofuku)
How to apply
Applications can be made through the digital ticket service "Pass Market." Please note that applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. JAPAN ID. *To participate, you will need to download the Zoom app. On the day of the Bon Odori, we will be dancing on Zoom, including Isetan Shinjuku's original Bon Odori dance "Reiwa-UME no UTAGE-Ondo" by "Haruhino with DODOWAKA", as well as familiar Bon Odori dances such as Tokyo Ondo and Tanko Bushi. Let's enjoy online Bon Odori this summer as a new opportunity to wear yukata!
