In April 2020, the Comme des Garçons Osaka store relocated and reopened along Midosuji in Shinsaibashi, Osaka. On the first floor of this new store, A BATHING APE® opened its first Comme des Garçons shop-in-shop, BAPE STORE® Comme des Garçons Osaka. The store's opening, with interior design by Rei Kawakubo, surprised not only Japan but the world. To commemorate these two new openings, the first collaboration items between A BATHING APE® and COMME des GARÇONS will be released exclusively at the store on June 20, 2020.



COMME des GARCONS is the brand first founded in 1969 by Rei Kawakubo, Japan's proud world-renowned fashion designer. A BATHING APE(R) is a fashion brand that started in Tokyo in 1993, led the street fashion scene, and is now supported by a wide range of people around the world. The two companies have now decided to release an exclusive collaboration. This collection has a sophisticated finish that brings out the appeal of each brand to the fullest.
The brand “COMME des GARCONS” was founded in 1969 by worldwide famous Japanese fashion designer, Rei Kawakubo.
Since its inception, the brand has led the street fashion scene and is now supported by fans around the world. An exclusive collaboration between “A BATHING APE(R)” and “COMME des GARCONS” will be available. The product lineup includes items with a chic and sophisticated finish, setting off the attractions of both brands.

The collaborative camo "COMME des GARCONS CAMO," which incorporates the branding of both brands into BAPE(R)'s original CAMO, which represents BAPE(R), is sure to be talked about for years to come as a new chapter in the history of BAPE(R) camouflage. In addition, a name tag was specially created for this item, and the premium design featuring both logos is full of the appeal unique to this collection.

Also being released will be the "compressed T-shirt," which could be said to be one of the representative items of "A BATHING APE(R)" from the 90s. T-shirts compressed to the size of the palm of your hand are collector's items with many fans, and have been released in various variations up to now, such as spray can type and blaster type. This time, the "compressed T-shirt" will be released in the shape of an ape head.

The “COMME des GARCONS CAMO”, which is an exclusive, history-making collaboration camo, is fused with the identities of both brands. Even the name tags were specially manufactured for the collaboration to give a premium and exclusive feel.
The compressed “shrink T shirts”, one of the iconic items of “A BATHING APE(R)” from the 90's will also be released. The compression tees that are shrunk to fit on the palm have been a collector's item to many with different shapes from spray cans to blaster guns. For this collaboration, the “shrink T shirt” appear in the shape of the ape head.
