This exhibition focuses on some of today's most notable technologies, such as AI, the metaverse, and big data, from an artistic perspective, and presents works that anticipate how these technologies will evolve and impact our lives and sensibilities. Visitors will gain insight into future possibilities and gain a deeper understanding of technological advances through contemporary art.
This exhibition was curated by 23 groups from 13 countries, bringing together experts from a variety of fields, including artists, architects, scientists, and programmers. Using an interdisciplinary approach, it explores the relationship between technology and humanity from multiple angles. The artworks and content on display from these diverse perspectives invite us to consider the complex interactions between technology, humanity, and other living things. Another major feature of this exhibition is its proposal for the possibility of a holistic life, including food, clothing, and shelter.
This exhibition will introduce exhibits and concepts that demonstrate how technology is being integrated into every aspect of our daily lives. Exploring the potential for new technologies to change the quality and experience of our lives, it offers an opportunity to reexamine our own lifestyles and awareness.

Participants create their own worldview in the metaverse. Who contributes to creating this world, and who will share it? The artist's video game, full of metaphorical beauty, unfolds differently for each player. This project proposes a new interface for sharing this experience.

2. Clothing: Wearing the Digital
Exhibiting artists: Tomihiro Kono / ANREALAGE (until January 8, 2024) / HATRA+Yuma Kishi (from January 13, 2024)

Digital is not just about extending bodily functions or acquiring data, like the Apple Watch, but rather the way we wear our clothes diversifies sensibilities and tastes, allowing for greater freedom of choice. Augmented reality (AR) is used in fashion shows and fittings, designs are generated in collaboration with AI, and digital technology is used to transform materials, such as by reacting to light and sound, broadening expression.

By sensing and visualizing the environment around us through digital technology, we can experience a changing ecology. The emergence of AI is lowering the barriers to designing living spaces and furniture. This ability to intervene in the architectural process will change our perception of living. Digital technology enhances our ability to imagine (create) space and transform it.

Going beyond machine learning, AI will gain autonomy, making it able to make independent decisions and express emotions. This autonomy is formed through a complementary relationship with us humans; it is a mirror of us and at the same time presenting the possibility of a new humanity. What do they teach us about the meaning of "new humanity"?

NFTs have achieved authenticity as digital assets that cannot be tampered with. They have not only increased the market value of digital art, but have also opened up new audiences and collectors, broadening the possibilities of expression itself. NFTs, an infrastructure and system of "value" and "exchange," have begun a new circulation of artistic and cultural value.
7. Data and New Expressions: Painting and Installation
Exhibiting Artists: David O'Reilly, Jonathan Zawada

Rather than visualizing research results, information, or other data, or creating three-dimensional objects with a 3D printer, a relationship between data and creativity has begun that goes beyond that. New alchemy of mediums is being realized one after another through the digital medium, such as using data as "paint" to create a painting, or using the heat generated by data processing to create a sculpture.

As the singularity, in which AI surpasses humans, approaches, traditional "education" will no longer be able to cope with this new situation. From tutorial videos that teach birds how to fly, to restoration programs that use AI to regenerate abandoned buildings, to biosimulation, we present 11 programs that showcase innovative pedagogies for surviving the future.
