Last season, MYne, which launched in 2015, changed its name to "KAMIYA" after designer Koji Kamiya and embarked on a new journey. Having just completed KAMIYA's first exhibition, Kamiya encountered Billy Preston's song "Nothing From Nothing," and was immediately inspired to take on the next stage of the brand's endeavors: a fashion show.

The first show, held on August 28, kicked off with a spectacular performance, in which a truck loaded with giant speakers smashed into a constructed wall decorated with the KAMIYA logo.

Items that stand out include heavily distressed and bleached cut-and-sew items, duck work jackets, painter pants, and cotton knitwear, all of which evoke the brand's roots in the vintage clothing stores in Amerikamura, Osaka, where Kamiya spent his youth. There was also a Bubble-era feel to the end of the show. In a fantastical atmosphere, the show offered a glimpse into the basis of Kamiya's creations, which is "how realistic clothes can be worn on the street."
