■Comment from Director Hajime Tsuda
This film explores the changes in human life as one of its themes. However, in the face of the current wave of COVID-19, we are reminded once again that art and entertainment are based on a stable lifestyle. Even in these times, as movie theaters begin to reopen and many new films are expected to be released, we can only hope that the everyday act of watching movies will return to our lives. "Daughters," a 100-minute film weaving together two people living under the same roof against the backdrop of seasonal scenery, will remind you of the seasons that have slipped by during our prolonged "STAY HOME" stay-at-home order, and of the days spent with those close to you. I hope it will provide a moment of remembrance, even if only for a moment, of the stresses and stresses of life.

■Comment from Producer Chikara Ito
"Daughters" is an irreplaceable work that was prepared over many years with Director Tsuda's strong passion, and brought together the creative talents of longtime acquaintances, including the staff and cast, to be released in theaters. While we exchanged opinions on whether to release the film in theaters due to the social situation and impact of COVID-19, we have decided to aim for September 18th, reflecting the hopes and wishes of everyone involved in the film.
We will continue to experiment until the theatrical release date, doing our best to ensure that as many people as possible can see it. We appreciate your support.
