Stella McCartney opens its first men's store in Osaka. Men's wear begins at Aoyama store.

Jan 27, 2017

Stella McCartney will open a men's wear store on the second floor of Hankyu Men's Osaka on February 1st. The brand will also begin selling men's wear at its Aoyama store.

Each store will feature the brand's first men's wear collection, the 2017 Men's Spring Collection. The collection draws on iconic art and subcultures from various eras, blending formalwear and sportswear to create a quintessentially British style that pushes the boundaries of functionality and fashion.

Striking a classic yet eccentric balance, the collection features single-breasted and double-breasted suits in black and inking green. Vintage shirts, inspired by an eclectic wardrobe, are available in slim, oversized, short-sleeved, grandad, dressy, and military styles. Other styles include cargo, pleated chinos, striped pajama trousers, drawstring shorts, and loose overalls.

Outerwear also features practical styles with an emphasis on pockets and proportions. Trench coats exude understated confidence in colors like khaki, taupe, and midnight, while raincoats, anoraks, and cagoules offer protection from the elements thanks to functional materials. Utility-inspired bomber and baseball jackets are embellished with decorations.

Knitwear also offers a wide variety of items. Striped knitwear features fringe and fraying, while slouchy jumpers feature oversized herringbone stitching. Recycled cashmere is used for knitwear featuring graphic lettering. Other items in the collection include sneakers made from organic cotton and recycled nylon, eco-nylon travel bags, and accessories such as simple square sunglasses with chains.
