This new release is the Tokyo Design Studio New Balance (TDS) version of the "New Balance 1300JP3," which was reissued in February 2020 to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the shoe and sold out in one day. The coloring of this "R_C1300JP" is inspired by the 1300's original color, "STEEL BLUE."
The special print on the premium nubuck suede upper reconstructs New Balance's DNA color, "STEEL BLUE" (bluish gray), into a marbled pattern using tie-dye techniques.
This shoe is truly a "new classic," combining a sole unit that uses the latest technology to deliver unparalleled comfort with an upper that exudes a sense of craftsmanship.
