WTAPS® and New Balance have launched a global collaboration project for the footwear brand "New Balance 992." The first product, "WTAPS® x New Balance M992WT," will be released at 12:00 PM on May 1st.

This collaborative shoe is a redesign based on the "New Balance 992," which was reissued for the first time in February of this year since its original release in 2006. The strength of Double Taps and the elegance of New Balance are expressed through the coloring of the upper, which graduates from olive drab to gray.
Also, please note that the orange color that is Double Taps' identity is used on the midsole, and the teal color is used on the outsole.
Reflectors boldly placed throughout the upper not only add to the high design, but also function to improve visibility at night.
The embossed texture of the synthetic leather on the tongue and heel is adapted from the details of the New Balance 998, a shoe that Double Taps director Toru Nishiyama wore in his private life.
The details of the 998 incorporated into the 992 can be seen not only in the use of synthetic leather on the tongue and heel, but also in the complex combination of materials such as suede, nubuck, and mesh.
And speaking of the best part of these collaborative shoes, we can't forget the limited edition shoebox.
The exclusive design features smart coloring and the brand logo. It would also look great in a chic interior.
