"En Liten Vän," which means "little friend" in Swedish, is a project started in 2018 by Osaka-based interior design shop dieci, in which they collaborate with Kagoshima Mutsumi to create works of art, in order to convey the appeal of Sweden's historic pottery factory, Keramikstudion Gustavsberg.

Kagoshima Mutsumi is a Fukuoka-based ceramic artist who creates vessels and objects decorated with designs based on his unique worldview, using plant and animal motifs. The vases in the "En Liten Vän" series are produced using the original animal shapes created by Kagoshima Mutsumi, with Keramikstudion creating the molds and artisans then painting each one individually.
