AKOMEYA TOKYO will be selling ingredients and decorations to brighten up your New Year's table from November 22nd to December 31st under the theme "Bring Good Fortune to the New Year."


New Year's is a special time to enjoy delicious food and splendor while also feeling the traditions of Japan. AKOMEYA TOKYO will stock a wide selection of New Year's ingredients and decorations for families and loved ones to gather together and spend the day with smiles.

"Enmusubi (Enmusubi) from Iinan Town, Shimane Prefecture" (580 yen)
"Enmusubi (Enmusubi) from Iinan Town, Shimane Prefecture" (580 yen), a rice full of auspiciousness, is a limited edition product featuring the zodiac sign. This delicious rice has firm grains and is grown by a limited number of producers in Iinan Town, Shimane Prefecture, who have donated large shimenawa ropes to Izumo Taisha Shrine, which is famous for connecting people. It comes in a dignified limited edition package with the zodiac sign printed on it.

"Mametaru" (300ml, 2,500 yen each)

Perfect for the New Year's celebrations that bring good fortune, "Mametaru" (300ml, 2,500 yen) is decorated with AKOMEYA TOKYO's original auspicious patterns and is made with "Kawatsuru," a sake with a mellow, full-bodied flavor and a refreshing, crisp taste. Also on sale are "Shin Taisho Mochi" (600g for 1,300 yen, 200g for 500 yen), made with "Shin Taisho Mochi," renowned as the finest glutinous rice, pounded using a traditional mallet, and "Kaya Fabric Dishcloths" (550 yen each), featuring a New Year's-exclusive design of the zodiac rat, perfect for New Year's gifts.


New Year's decorations, which are a must-have before the New Year, are also on display. The "Mizuhiki Rice Ear Decoration with Plum Bound Red" (1,800 yen) features an ear of rice, a symbol of harvest, and is decorated with wishes for a bountiful harvest and a prosperous year. The "Hemp Ornament Plum Blossom" (1,800 yen) is a New Year's decoration made using hemp ramie, a thread made from the fibers extracted from hemp stalks. Hemp ramie has long been used in religious ceremonies as a sacred material to purify impurities. This original design, featuring ears of rice, is exclusive to AKOMEYA TOKYO. "Medetaya Washi Offering Mochi" (2,300 yen) will also be available, allowing you to welcome the first New Year of the Reiwa era with washi paper decorations.
