Industry insiders are crazy about Bottega Veneta bags! The Pouch vs. Padded Cassette: Which do you prefer? [Paris Snap]

Oct 9, 2019
Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2020 took place from September 23rd to October 1st. Despite the constant autumn rain, industry insiders once again engaged in a heated fashion battle off the runway.

The street style trend that has continued for several seasons seems to have completely shifted to "new classics," which are modern updates of classics. Industry insiders revamped their closets, showcasing completely new styles using staples and nostalgic items. Here are the latest styles seen off the runway during the nine-day Paris Fashion Week!

A year after Phoebe Philo left Celine, Bottega Veneta has firmly secured its place as the "post-Celine" brand. The bag was a hot topic not only in Paris, but also in Milan and London, vying for first and second place in terms of ownership! Bottega Veneta's popularity was split between the Pouch and the Padded Cassette. Which one would you choose as this season's hottest "it" bag?

1.
Xenia Adonts (Fashion Blogger)

Xenia Adonts, a fashion blogger from Germany living in Paris, chose the vibrant green Pouch. A soft color palette of pale lavender tops and bottoms, paired with a gray jacket and pants, creates a stylish look. The oversized jacket, a staple of street style, is perfectly updated for the latest trends!

2.
Anna Dello Russo

Street fashion icon Anna Dello Russo paired her all-black look with padded cassettes. She paired her military-inspired evening dress with Prada combat boots for a trendsetting look.

3.
Olivia Singer (Editor)

Olivia Singer, editor of British Vogue, is the epitome of style for the working woman! While the new Celine midi skirt is too classic when worn normally, she breaks away from the ordinary style with an oversized jacket and a plunging neckline. Simply pairing it with "The Pouch" instantly elevates your look to this season's signature style!

4.
Irina Linovich (Producer)

Irina Linovich, producer of the Ukrainian edition of Vogue, is also a role model for working women. For evening dinners or business parties, she pairs a bright, pale blue dress with a formal, just-right jacket, just like hers. She also wears padded cassettes and Bottega Veneta boots.

5.
Tiffany Hsu (Buying Director)

Tiffany Hsu, buying director of the major e-commerce site My Theresa, also chose the same Bottega Veneta padded cassette and boots as Irina. The outfit, worn by Tiffany Hsu, who gained experience as a designer under Phoebe at Celine and won a special prize at the 2018 LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers, exudes a feminine yet rock-inspired look.

6.
Erika Boldrin (Fashion Blogger)

Fashion blogger Erika Boldrin seems to love the mini-sized The Pouch. Her mules are from Bottega Veneta, and her clothes are all from Lanvin, which has a younger look under the new director. As you'd expect from an influencer, she's not afraid to wear a brand that has completely revamped its image!
