Yebisu Garden Place will be hosting the urban picnic event "YEBISU GARDEN PICNIC" from July 13th to August 25th. During the event, a 300m2 artificial turf area will be set up in the center plaza, where people can enjoy outdoor movies, yoga, and food.


PICNIC CINEMA is an outdoor cinema where you can relax and enjoy films screened against the backdrop of the night view. Based on the theme, "You can't find the rainbow if you're looking down," 15 films will be screened every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from July 26th to August 25th from 7:30pm, including Wes Anderson's masterpiece, "The Grand Budapest Hotel," as well as "Gifted" and "The Wizard of Oz." "PICNIC YOGA," where you can experience yoga in a natural setting in an open space in the middle of the city, will be held for 10 days between August 1st and 22nd. "Morning Yoga" will be held from 7:30am and "Evening Yoga" from 7pm in an open plaza covered with artificial turf. Participation is limited to approximately 100 people on a first-come, first-served basis, and the event schedule will be announced sequentially on the Yebisu Garden Place website.

From July 13th to 15th, there will also be an exhibition and sales event by users of GreenSnap, Japan's largest community of plant lovers. In addition to selling popular dried flowers and succulents, including those from the succulent florist BLUE LEAF, there will also be fun activities for parents and children, such as a workshop by DIYFACTORY to make the adorable chair featured in the popular picture book "Douzo no Isu" (Please Come Here) and a workshop by Hanana to make flower crowns. There will also be a wide selection of drinks and food to liven up the event. At the Center Plaza, which serves as the venue, BLUE SEAL, a shop located within the facility, will be selling event-exclusive menu items perfect for summer, including "BLUE SEAL Cup Ice Cream" (340 yen including tax), the Okinawan classic "Taco Meat & Tortilla" (480 yen including tax), "Okinawa Pineapple Sour" (600 yen including tax) with pineapple delivered directly from Okinawa, and "Bitter Melon Pickles" (480 yen including tax).

In addition, we recommend purchasing takeout items such as sweets by the glass from The Westin Deli at The Westin Tokyo (starting from 670 yen including tax), "Apple Vinegar Soda" (756 yen including tax) from OLIVIERS&CO. EBISU, and freshly prepared foods and drinks from the food garden on the second basement floor of Ebisu Mitsukoshi, which was renovated in March, and enjoying a picnic on the artificial turf.
