Nike and OFF-WHITE c/o VIRGIL ABLOH™'s new women's collection, "Nike c/o Virgil Abloh “Athlete in Progress”," will be released on June 28th.
Designed for runners, the collection debuted in September 2018 as part of OFF-WHITE c/o Virgil Abloh™'s Spring/Summer 2019 collection, featuring athletes such as Dina Asher-Smith, Vashti Cunningham, English Gardner, Katarina Johnson-Thompson, and Caterine Ibarguen.
The shoes designed by Virgil, who was heavily influenced by the beauty and style of track and field athletes, are based on the Air Zoom Terra Kiger running shoe and feature vivid colors and spike-like protrusions on the outsole. The industrial tag is also still present.
In addition to shoes, apparel is also planned to be added to the lineup in the future.
