Approximately 1,500 works on display! "Higuchi Yuko Exhibition: CIRCUS FINAL END" opens at Mori Arts Center Gallery in Roppongi

Event Date:2023.02.03-04.10
Feb 5, 2023
With a free-flowing imagination and touch that crosses the boundaries between fantasy and reality, artist Yuko Higuchi is active in a wide range of fields, from creating artwork to publishing picture books. Her first large-scale solo exhibition, "Yuko Higuchi: CIRCUS," toured nationwide since 2019 and opened on February 3rd at the Mori Arts Center Gallery in Roppongi, Tokyo, marking her final stop. The exhibition showcases approximately 1,500 works, including the approximately 500 that toured the country and works that were not included in the tour. The exhibits, packed tightly onto the walls of the exhibition room, offer a full look at Yuko Higuchi's meticulous and exquisite brushwork. Works that could not be fully introduced during the national tour, as well as new works created during the tour, are scattered throughout each area of the exhibition room, so even those who have already visited the "CIRCUS" exhibition will be able to make new discoveries.

In addition, there are plenty of mechanisms, such as zoetropes, that allow you to enjoy Higuchi Yuko's worldview. Don't miss out on this comprehensive exhibition worthy of the FINAL END!

Come experience the overwhelming volume of the exhibition space, on a completely different level from previous touring exhibitions, at the venue. In commemoration of the "Higuchi Yuko Exhibition: CIRCUS FINAL END," the "CANTEEN GUSTAVE by THE SUN & THE MOON Cafe" will open on the same floor as the exhibition venue. Enjoy a special menu exclusive to this cafe, decorated with the world of Higuchi Yuko.
