
To celebrate the remodeled reopening of the third-floor fashion floor of the Isetan Shinjuku Main Building, Yoshitaka Amano, known for his Final Fantasy character design, has collaborated with ANREALAGE, a leading Tokyo fashion brand. This special event, fusing art and fashion, will be held from December 5th (Wed) to 11th (Tue), 2012. The theme is "Fashion of the Future." Based on ANREALAGE's 2009 Spring/Summer "○△□ Collection," the special capsule collection will feature Amano's illustrations and artwork. From iPhone cases, T-shirts, and tote bags to highly artistic handmade items, visitors can enjoy Amano's original artwork, as well as pieces never before exhibited in Japan, all while immersing themselves in his fantastical world. Amano is an internationally acclaimed artist known for his unique sense of color and touch, and has worked on character designs for popular anime and games. He has been highly praised overseas, with solo exhibitions held in cities around the world including New York, London and Paris, further expanding his horizons. Meanwhile, Anrealage designer Kunihiko Morinaga has attracted attention for his continued pursuit of new clothing forms through a conceptual approach.
