Have you decided what to do during Golden Week, which will be a long weekend with up to 10 days in a row? The Yokohama Frühlings Fest 2019 will be held at the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse for a total of 11 days, from April 26th to May 6th.


The Frühlingsfest is a spring festival held annually in Germany. Beer tents and traveling amusement parks appear throughout the city, and people celebrate the arrival of spring. Yokohama Frühlingsfest, where you can experience a German-style spring festival in Yokohama, is a hugely popular event that attracted 400,000 visitors last year.

This year, keep an eye out for the new ocean-side area, "KIDS PARK"!

The attraction area is expanding this year! "KIDS PARK," newly established on the ocean side of the venue, is packed with events for both adults and children, centered around attractions, a kids' stage, and an outdoor theater.


KIDS PARK is an area where you can have fun all day, with a traveling amusement park zone where you can experience eight different attractions, including a merry-go-round and coffee cup rides, a kids' stage where you can enjoy street performances like juggling and magic, a kids' disco, bouldering, trampolines, workshops, and even an outdoor theater. Over five days, the theater will screen five popular films by director Mamoru Hosoda, including his latest hit, "Mirai."

A giant beer counter spanning approximately 30 meters will be set up in the market area. Enjoy authentic German beer, picnic food to share with family and friends, and a live German orchestra on a stage inside a special tent for a fun-filled afternoon.

10:30: Start with the Traveling Amusement Park!

A traveling amusement park featuring eight attractions for children. There are many exciting and thrilling experiences waiting for you, including an antique German merry-go-round handcrafted by a carousel craftsman, a thrilling pirate ship that swings up and down, a classic amusement park coffee cup, and a giant bubble ball that walks on water inside a ball.One of the topics that parents and children can enjoy together is the workshop where you can make a "herbarium," a floral interior decoration that makes a perfect gift for Mother's Day.

12:00: Share picnic food with the family for lunch

The market area is packed with lunch boxes and finger foods perfect for sharing. The "Frühlings Picnic Box" and "German-Style Sandwich Lunch Box" are recommended lunch boxes packed with hamburger steaks, sausages, and other favorites for both adults and children. For children's drinks, we recommend additive-free juice made with whole oranges or pineapples, or tapioca milk tea.

Adults can enjoy authentic German beer at the beer counter. "Flensburger Edres Helles" and "Weihenstephan Non-Filter Kellerbier" are making their Japan debut and are available exclusively at the venue. Enjoy them with classic German pretzels and 1-meter-long sausages.


A lively German orchestra performs live music every day on the stage in the tent area. As you toast with the "Toast Song," the entire venue enters a festive atmosphere, making you want to join in the fun.
