"SOMEWHERE," an international music festival originating from Shibuya, will be held at Shibuya Stream Hall from April 19th to June 7th. Grammy Award-winning artists such as JUSTICE and Phoenix have been confirmed as headliners.


"SOMEWHERE," is an international music festival originating from Shibuya, kicking off this April. The program and casting have been carefully designed to create an international music festival that will attract cosmopolitans from around the world seeking music, art, and special cultural experiences amid the everyday life of Shibuya, Japan's most internationally recognized city. The festival features a curated lineup of music, art, film, and acts that embody the realism of Tokyo's chaotic cityscape. This is the first-ever international music festival originating from Japan, and after its Shibuya run, a London performance is scheduled.

Headliners for this event include French electro group Justice, the world-famous French indie rock band Phoenix, and the dance unit Basement Jaxx. Other notable performers on the lineup include Carl Barat and Friendly Fires. Also participating from Japan will be entertainer Jaguar, originally from planet Jaguar.

Phoenix
The venue, Shibuya Stream Hall, is Shibuya's newest spot, having just opened last September. From April 19th to 29th, the free entry spaces on the 4th and 5th floors, as well as the concert hall on the 6th floor, will all be decorated with stylish and upbeat décor for "Ti Amo," an event hosted by Phoenix. Tickets include a welcome glass of champagne, so you can enjoy the best live performance while feeling tipsy afterwards. "SOMEWHERE," also plans to host art installations such as rare videos and film screenings by participating artists. Additionally, the ballroom of the Cerulean Tower, a luxury hotel in Shibuya, will host a party called "DEATH DISCO," featuring Alan Mcgee, founder of the legendary indie label CREATION, which has produced artists such as Primal Scream, My Bloody Valentine, and OASIS, as well as some of Japan's top DJs.

Artist performance dates include Phoenix on April 19th, 20th, 22nd, 23rd, and 24th, Alan McGee (DJ Set) + secret guest on April 21st, Carl Barat (Dirty Pretty Things/The Libertines) on April 26th and 27th, Justice (DJ Set) on April 26th and 27th, Friendly Fires on April 28th and 29th, and Basement Jaxx (DJ Set) on June 5th, 6th, and 7th.
