The launch of Onitsuka Tiger's 2019 Spring/Summer collection is underway.
This season's theme is "SUMMER OF LOVE," and the collection uses materials and graphic prints to express the various forms of love that exist in today's multi-ethnic, borderless, and genderless world.
The clothing items are arranged under five themes: "Dressy on the Beach," "Industrial on the Dance Floor," "Striped Summer," "Sporty Holidays," and "Honolulu on My Mind." The theme is expressed using summery denim chambray material, summer stripe patterns, and messages of love such as "Come with me my love and take me out tonight."
New sneakers have also been added to the lineup. The "ADMIX RUNNER" and "ADMIX RUNNERSLIP-ON" feature a design that combines the essence of Onitsuka Tiger's archive shoes with a "cut and paste" technique on the upper. The midsole includes chunky sole elements, and the heel is made of lightweight shock-absorbing material "fuzeGEL," while the insole is made of highly resilient sponge material "OrthoLite X-40." These shoes are also highly functional.

The second in the series, "LAWNSHIP AP," is inspired by the 1970s tennis shoes "LAWNSHIP." While retaining the voluminous sole, boy boot-style details have been added to the simple upper that is characteristic of "LAWNSHIP," bringing it up to date with the modern era.

Based on the MEXICO 66, one of Onitsuka Tiger's iconic items, the MEXICO 66 AP uses a translucent material for the upper to express a spring/summer feel.

The OK BASKETBALL MT AP9 is based on the first basketball shoes released by Onitsuka Tiger. While retaining signature details such as the metal eyelets, the texture of the upper has also been adapted to be closer to the image of the original. The patch on the side, which is also used in this season's apparel, is also a highlight.
