Naked's earliest cherry blossom viewing event in Japan will be held in Nihonbashi again this year! A space surrounded by cherry blossoms on all sides will be created

Event Date:2019.01.29-03.03
Dec 13, 2018
"FLOWERS BY NAKED 2019 - Tokyo, Nihonbashi," an experiential floral art exhibition that has attracted a total of 400,000 visitors to date as an art space where photogenic photographs can be taken, will be held at Nihonbashi Mitsui Hall in Tokyo from January 29 to March 3, 2019.

"OUSAI 2019"
The exhibition is an immersive floral event produced by creative company NAKED. This fall, the exhibition held at Kyoto's Nijo Castle, a World Heritage Site, attracted approximately 110,000 visitors during its approximately one-month night-only period. This year marks the fourth year of the event in Nihonbashi, and immersive spots will be featured throughout the venue. OUSAI 2019, a cherry blossom viewing art space symbolizing "Japan's earliest cherry blossom viewing," has evolved into its most immersive space yet, featuring projection mapping, artistic installations, and real cherry blossoms, covering the entire space. Surrounded by cherry blossoms on all sides, the space is now filled with projection mapping, artistic installations, and real cherry blossoms, creating a 360-degree view. Also, in a space modeled after the "kawadoko" (river deck), a traditional Japanese way of enjoying the outdoors, "Bar 'The Secret of Secret Garden'" will be unveiled, themed around FLOWERS BY NAKED's global laboratory. Enjoy the cherry blossom viewing experience with original drinks, including Lipton's seasonal cherry blossom tea, created in collaboration with the bar. Behind the bar, a secret space will be created where you can choose from 12 different scents using the aroma machine.

"Tea Room - Choshin no Ma"
Also on display is "Tea Room - Choshin no Ma," a new collaborative work that combines the ikebana of Akane Teshigahara, head of the Sogetsu School of Ikebana, with cutting-edge technology. The new work, created in collaboration with the Sogetsu School of Ikebana, is based on the theme of the "tea room," a space that has long been a place to invite guests, serve tea, and entertain, and is a space that symbolizes Japanese sensibilities. The work combines ikebana with cutting-edge technology, including video, sound, and sensing, and displays images that reflect the physical information of those who enter the room.

In addition, a total of 12 works will be exhibited, including nine new works being shown for the first time, such as "Marumado," which combines scent and spatial design supervised by the next head of the Shino school of incense art, Wakasosho Hachiya Soboku, and a collaboration of tradition and innovation with the theme of waka poetry. Special events and workshops, as well as plans to enjoy a flower-genic stroll around Nihonbashi, are also planned. Further details will be updated on the official website (https://flowers.naked.works/) from time to time.
