SHIBUYA FUKURAS was completed in the fall of 2019 as part of the redevelopment of the former Tokyu Plaza Shibuya in front of Shibuya Station and the adjacent blocks.
In addition to the new Tokyu Plaza Shibuya, a bus terminal serving local buses and airport limousines will be built, making it a new gateway to the west exit of Shibuya Station.

Shibuya has grown into a place that has given birth to many trends and cultures, and this new facility is being built amid a once-in-a-century redevelopment project under the slogan "Entertainment City SHIBUYA." The name "Shibuya Fukuras" comes from the Japanese word for "to expand" (furamasu), and embodies the desire to greatly expand the happiness of Shibuya and all those who visit the building.
The architectural concept is an "accumulation of small stories." Just as Shibuya is a city where diverse people and cultures mix, come together, and grow, small stories are born as these assemblies take shape, and the building's exterior is formed by the accumulation of small crystals. The logo represents an "expanding crystal," based on the building's crystalline exterior, which condenses the energy of the city. The silver logo color conveys an impression of sophistication, dignity, and modernity, while also expressing the flexibility and diversity of all colors, which allow individuality to shine.

Floors 2-8 and 17-18 will house Tokyu Plaza Shibuya, which will be reborn as a commercial facility that meets the needs of a new era. Japan is said to be living in an era where people can expect to live to 100 years old, and is the first country in the world to become a super-aging society. We are entering a new era in which people's values, lifestyles, and consumer behaviors will undergo major changes. In this context, the new Tokyu Plaza Shibuya will target "urban-dwelling adults with mature sensibilities" and propose a new lifestyle called "MELLOW LIFE."
Floors B1 and B2 will house Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation. The first floor will house a bus terminal that will serve regular route buses and airport limousine buses, along with a tourist support facility offering luggage storage and tourist information, further enhancing the international competitiveness of the Shibuya Station area.

The GMO Internet Group will occupy the office floors on the 9th to 16th floors, boasting approximately 16,600 square meters. The 17th floor will also feature an industrial expansion support facility that will serve as a base for creating new businesses. By developing this facility as a base for the creative content industry and foreign companies, the facility will create a space for companies and creators to launch their startups.
In addition, an urban core will be constructed, connecting the multi-layered urban infrastructure in a barrier-free manner with elevators and escalators, and a Dogenzaka connecting deck will be constructed, connecting Shibuya Station to the building and the surrounding area. This will create a pedestrian network with the building as a hub, allowing for easy movement up, down, left, and right to Shibuya Station and the surrounding area. Some surrounding streets will also be redeveloped as rest areas where visitors can safely navigate. A regional loading and unloading facility will be installed on the building's second basement floor, available for delivery companies to the local shopping district. This will improve visitor safety and comfort, as well as the city's navigability, and create a lively shopping district surrounding the building.
Shibuya Fukuras will serve as a new gateway at the west exit of Shibuya Station for people of all generations and inbound tourists visiting Shibuya. Collaboration with the local community will help create a vibrant streetscape that further enhances Shibuya's diverse appeal.
