Nanamica has collaborated with New Balance to release a four-item capsule collection. The items will be available at Nanamica directly managed stores from October 27th, on the Nanamica web store from 11:00 on the 28th, and at other limited stores from November 10th.
"GORE-TEX® sneaker" (27,000 yen)
This collection combines the concepts of New Balance, a Boston-based company that continues to create functional sneakers, with Nanamica, which creates products based on the keywords "utility" and "sports." For this collaboration, the brand worked with New Balance's Tokyo-based design team, TOKYO DESIGN STUDIO. The collection features items featuring an exclusive collaboration logo that expresses a "mix of sports and fashion."
The "GORE-TEX® sneaker" (27,000 yen) is a sneaker that incorporates the waterproof and breathable GORE-TEX® footwear technology of the new "R_C1" model, inspired by New Balance's historic "1300" series. Based on the theme of "a pair of shoes that can be easily matched with any outfit," the upper comes in monotone navy and beige, making it a hybrid shoe that can be used in all conditions. It comes with two shoe bags, one for each foot.
"GORE-TEX® Cruiser Jacket" (69,000 yen)
The "GORE-TEX® Cruiser Jacket" (69,000 yen) is based on the design of Nanamica's classic "Cruiser Jacket," and is made from three-layer nylon GORE-TEX® fabric. It is lighter than the cotton model, and while it features traditional outdoor details, it has a slightly relaxed silhouette that is in keeping with the times. Please note that this item will not be sold at Nanamica directly managed stores.
"Cotton COOLMAX® Logo Crew Neck Sweat" (13,000 yen)
The "Cotton COOLMAX® Logo Tee" (7,500 yen) T-shirt was designed with inspiration from the factory staff uniforms found in New Balance's archive books, and features a limited edition flocked logo that combines the Nanamica lettering in the font used for the "NB" runners' logo. The material is COOLMAX® Cotton, which is highly absorbent and quick-drying. Also available is the "Cotton COOLMAX® Logo Crew Neck Sweat" (13,000 yen), a logo sweatshirt made with the same COOLMAX® Cotton as the T-shirt. The coloring matches the sneakers, and the limited edition logo is embroidered. It has mesh pockets on both sides, making it highly practical.
It will be available at Nanamica's directly managed stores Nanamica Daikanyama, Nanamica MOUNTAIN, Nanamica Kobe, and Nanamica Fukuoka from October 27th, and on the Nanamica web store from 11:00 a.m. the following day, the 28th. It will be available at limited stores in Japan and overseas, including the New Balance web store and New Balance ROPPONGI 19:06, from November 10th.
