Burberry is hosting the "BURBERRY TRENCH STUDIO" event, which begins October 12th at each of its stores, where visitors can replace the buttons on the brand's iconic Heritage Trench Coat with buttons from a variety of archive designs.


The Heritage Trench Coat has been remodeled to be more faithful to the vintage style, with the liner changed to a 1960s vintage check and the length increased. The lineup includes three fits: the slim "Chelsea," the neutral "Kensington," and the oversized "Westminster." In addition to the classic honey, black, and navy colors, new colors such as dark military khaki and mid-gray have also been added.


At this event, customers who purchase a remodeled Heritage Trench Coat will be able to have their choice of archive-design buttons replaced on any part of the trench coat (front, epaulettes, pockets) free of charge. The button design is inspired by archive buttons that Riccardo Tisci discovered when he explored the brand's archives after becoming Chief Creative Officer.

The display design recreates the industrial atmosphere of the factory in Castleford, West Yorkshire, in the north of England, where the trench coats are made. Participating stores are Burberry Shinjuku from October 12th to 21st, Burberry Omotesando from October 12th to 16th, Umeda Hankyu Women's Burberry from October 12th to 16th, Nagoya Sakae Mitsukoshi Burberry from October 18th to 21st, Burberry Ginza Marronnier Street from October 18th to 22nd, Burberry Kobe from October 24th to 28th, Ikebukuro Seibu Burberry from October 25th to 29th, Burberry Shinsaibashi from October 26th to November 4th, Yokohama Takashimaya Burberry from October 31st to November 4th, and Fukuoka Iwataya Burberry from November 1st to 5th.
