Park Hyatt Tokyo launches limited edition Christmas sweets and stollen

Event Date:2018.11.01-12.25
Oct 3, 2018
Park Hyatt Tokyo has announced its imaginative Christmas sweets lineup for 2018. Christmas cake reservations will begin on November 1st, and the holiday collection, including three types of Buche de Noël, will be available for purchase from November 5th.

Buche Monaco (16cm x 8cm, ¥4,500)

This 2018 Christmas sweet is the first creation by Executive Pastry Chef James Holehouse, who took over as executive pastry chef in February of this year.
The crimson-colored "Bush Monaco" (16cm x 8cm, 4,500 yen) is made with Amaou strawberries and is a striking treat, with an elegant balance of refreshing fruitiness and the sweetness of luxurious chocolate. The sharp-designed "Bush Mont Blanc" (16cm x 8cm, 4,500 yen) is a sophisticated Christmas treat, with its appealing combination of rich rum-flavored chestnut cream, cassis jelly, and praline crunch. You can also enjoy the contrast between the bittersweet dark chocolate coating and the gently sweet chocolate stick. The beautifully draped corsage of the "Bush Tokyo" (16cm x 8cm, 4,500 yen), perfect for a gift, combines the pleasantly astringent Uji matcha with the tart yuzu buttercream to create a fresh, refreshing flavor.

Christmas Shortcake (15cm, ¥4,300)

Our "Christmas Shortcake," which has remained as popular since the cafe first opened, is made with carefully selected ingredients, featuring a moist, finely baked sponge and the fresh, gentle flavor of high-quality whipped cream. The juicy strawberries and the aroma of Grand Marnier enhance the elegant flavor.

The "Christmas Shortcake" and three other Christmas sweets can be pre-ordered from November 1st to December 20th. Pick up your order at the Pastry Boutique located at the main entrance on the second floor. Additionally, the "Christmas Shortcake" can be reserved on the official website from November 1st to December 18th.

(Left) Christmas Stollen (19.5cm x 12.5cm, ¥2,800)
(Middle) Chestnut Stollen (18.5cm x 7.5cm, ¥3,000)
(Right) Morne Stollen (18.5cm x 7.5cm) (¥3,300)

Also available as a limited-time offer for the Christmas season is a wide variety of sweets, baked using carefully crafted original recipes inspired by traditional European confections.
The lineup includes three types of stollen: "Christmas Stollen," made with plenty of dried fruits and nuts for an authentic European flavor; "Marron Stollen," with its rich flavor of large chestnuts and black figs; and "Mohn Stollen," with its fragrant flavor of poppy seeds and poppy paste accented with orange peel. A mini version of "Christmas Stollen" (¥2,000) is also available. Other items include the adorable "Chestnut Tree" (780 yen), a rum-flavored chestnut cream made with Japanese chestnuts from Ibaraki, shaped like a Christmas tree; "Panettone" (14cm, 2,500 yen), made with a dough fragrant with orange blossom essence and baked with lemon and orange confit; and the star-shaped "Yuzu Pain de Genes" (18cm, 3,500 yen), a traditional French baked confectionery made with plenty of almonds and fresh yuzu.
This holiday collection will be on sale from November 5th to December 25th. However, "Yuzu Pain de Genes" will only be available from December 1st.
In addition, Park Hyatt Tokyo will be holding a "Christmas Special Dinner" at each of the hotel's restaurants from December 21st to 25th. In a space surrounded by the glittering Tokyo night view and stylish art, we offer a special and memorable dinner time with delicious food and heartfelt hospitality to celebrate Christmas Eve.
