A new menu will be available from December 1st at the pancake shop J.S. PANCAKE CAFE's collaboration fair with the globally beloved picture book "The Very Hungry Caterpillar."


"The Very Hungry Caterpillar," written by Eric Carle, is a global best-selling picture book with a total of 44 million copies sold. This collaboration will express the colorful world and hopeful story created by Eric Carle, who is also known as the "magician of color," through pancakes. The fair, which began on October 3rd, will offer exclusive collaboration sweet pancakes for four consecutive months from October through January of the following year. They depict the growth of the "Caterpillar" and the story of the picture book.

Fatty Caterpillar and Chrysalis Mont Blanc Pancakes (1,500 yen) *Only available from December 1st to 19th
The "Fatty Caterpillar and Chrysalis Mont Blanc Pancakes" being offered this time feature a Japanese chestnut cream as the main filling, which is meant to resemble a chrysalis, and is topped with chocolate, cocoa powder, and kinako (roasted soybean flour), expressing the complex colors that are characteristic of Eric Carle. Served with homemade pumpkin pudding, it is a dish that allows you to enjoy the flavors of autumn.


The Very Hungry Caterpillar Pancakes (2,300 yen) *Only available from December 1st to January 31st (excluding January 1st to 3rd)
In addition, the second edition of "The Very Hungry Caterpillar Pancakes," which brings together memorable foods that appear in the story on one plate, features a variety of ingredients on one plate, including a creamy cheese fondue made with white sauce, spinach pancakes that represent the Very Hungry Caterpillar, and cherry pie that appears in the picture book.


Fruit and Berry Butterfly Pancakes (1,600 yen) *Only available from December 20th to January 31st (excluding January 1st to 3rd)
In addition, for the holiday season, "Fruit and Berry Butterfly Pancakes" will also be on sale. The pancakes are made with a four-color batter made with ingredients such as beets and spinach, filled with whipped cream and custard cream, and topped with five kinds of fruit such as strawberries and oranges, and are inspired by a butterfly that grows into vibrant colors. The lineup also includes parfaits made with Japanese ingredients such as matcha ice cream, water bracken jelly, and mugwort-flavored shiratama (rice flour dumplings), allowing guests to fully enjoy the world of "The Very Hungry Caterpillar."


In addition to the menu items mentioned above, there will also be a workshop where parents and children can make ornaments perfect for Christmas, and an advance tasting event where you can enjoy holiday season pancakes at a discount. New original "The Very Hungry Caterpillar Pancake" merchandise will be released in late November, including smartphone rings in two designs: one featuring The Very Hungry Caterpillar and one featuring a butterfly.
