iStyle Inc. (Minato-ku, Tokyo) held Asia's largest beauty event, "BEAUTY STYLE COLLECTION by @cosme 2012," at Tokyo Big Sight on Saturday, December 8th. The annual "2012 @cosme Best Cosmetics Awards" were announced.
"@cosme" is Japan's largest comprehensive cosmetics and beauty website, featuring a database of 24,000 domestic and international cosmetic brands and 210,000 products, as well as content such as review search functions and new product information. As a site that gathers genuine information from cosmetic users, it has attracted attention not only from general consumers but also from the cosmetics and beauty industry. It receives approximately 7 million monthly visitors (including all devices) and has over 230 million monthly page views (as of October 2012). To date, the site has posted over 10 million reviews.
The "2012 @cosme Best Cosmetics Awards" announced this time were compiled from approximately 900,000 reviews posted on the @cosme website over the past year by members who have actually used the cosmetics. The most popular products are awarded in a ranking format. The winner of the Grand Prize was the "Shiseido Foundation Brush 131."
