Acne Studios' iconic Musubi bag has been updated in suede and new colors, and will be available on August 9th.
The Musubi bag, named after the brand, first appeared at the Spring/Summer 2016 show and has since become one of the brand's most popular styles. The knotted details on both sides of the bag are inspired by the obi sash used in Japanese kimonos. Hand-stitched details on the body of the bag give the piece an artisanal finish.
For the Fall/Winter 2018 collection, the Musubi maxi and Musubi mini are available in suede. The oversized shopper-style "Musubi maxi," characterized by knots on both sides, comes in the leather "Musubi maxi leather" (168,000 yen) and suede "Musubi maxi suede" (142,000 yen), while the "Musubi mini," with its short handles and shoulder strap for day-to-night use, comes in the leather "Musubi mini leather" (117,000 yen) and suede "Musubi mini suede" (104,000 yen).
New colors include dusty purple and fox gray for the suede, and black, pink, and brown for the leather. The classic "Musubi shopper" (155,000 yen) and "Musubi handbag" (104,000 yen) have been updated in the seasonal color sharp red.
