Hermès (HERMÔS) and the National Art Center, Tokyo are collaborating on a three-week exhibition titled "With Her," which began on July 11th.
Hermès is always close to women at the forefront of their times, creating new creations. This world premiere exhibition is set in the National Art Center, Tokyo, which has been transformed into a large-scale film studio, and is an unprecedented audience-participation exhibition, featuring actors and extras in a cinematic setting based on the theme of the Maison's examination of the image of modern women.
Under the supervision of Laure Flammarion, a filmmaker and curator who will be directing the show, Bali Barret, artistic director of Hermès' women's department, and Nadége Vanhé-Cybulski, artistic director of women's ready-to-wear, a one-of-a-kind experience awaits.

Our unknown experience as an audience member begins the moment we step into the theater. The female character in the film being screened there, "She," is free, supple, and mysterious, yet exudes a passionate and powerful allure. The film is an image created by an artist who was fascinated by her. The artist then decided to get closer to her.
"Memorable stories begin in the movie theater." This is where the story of this mysterious exhibition begins.

Following our guide's lead, we enter the exhibition space, which is dotted with various anecdotes about her, and explore her with the artist, exploring her through encounters with three people who knew her well, film footage capturing her in fragments, and her beloved Hermès objects.

As the film approaches the end, the character's true form gradually becomes clearer. One winter's night, she unexpectedly sneaks out of the cinema with her lover. The first snow of the year is falling in the parking lot behind the cinema. As she gets into the driver's seat, she is wearing a new autumn/winter dress from Hermès.

She is essentially Hermès' vision of the modern woman. This is the story of Hermès, told around a certain artist and her, known only to those who have experienced it. Will we finally be able to meet "her"?
Registration for the third period of this exhibition (July 25-30) will begin at 11:00 AM on July 18. For the first period (July 11-16) and the second period (July 18-23), there are still seats available on weekdays (as of July 11). Make your reservation quickly.
