Milk JAPON, the Japanese version of the Paris-based media outlet Milk, is holding a photo exhibition titled "Japonism" featuring works by photographers Yokonami Osamu and Kawashima Kotori. The exhibition will run from July 20th to August 11th at IMA Gallery in Tokyo.

The exhibition focuses on the long story of the photographs by Yokonami Osamu and Kawashima Kotori, which appeared in the special feature "Japonism" in Milk JAPON No. 36.

Yokonami Osamu's works capture the beauty of modern Japanese girls and the good old days of Japan, expressing universal values unique to Japan. Meanwhile, Kawashima Kotori's works are based on the concept of Japan as seen through the eyes of foreign children, capturing the unique atmosphere and emotions of children, as if they are somewhere between reality and dreams. A limited number of special photo books featuring re-edited versions of Yokonami Osamu's stories will also be released. Why not rediscover the beautiful moments in everyday life in Japan through these works?
