HANWAY, a specialty store for weather items, will release the "All Weather Parasol" in collaboration with painter and illustrator Makiko Tanaka on July 1st.

The "All Weather Parasol" is an item that can be used on sunny days and rainy days. The fabric is polyester, with UV protection and light-blocking properties for sun protection, and water-repellent and waterproof properties for rain protection. This collaboration item features colorful artwork specially created by Tanaka Makiko that pays homage to France, combining ease of use with stylish design. There are five patterns, each available in two styles: short and mini.
Giverny (12,000 yen)
The theme of the artwork is "Homage to French painters and regions." The five types feature painters Rousseau and Toulouse-Lautrec, regions Provence and Alsace, and Monet and Giverny, who are associated with both.
Regarding this collaboration, Tanaka said, "It was my first time designing an umbrella, but the moment I unfolded it and the image took on a kaleidoscope-like appearance, it far exceeded my expectations. It has become a product that makes you look forward to rainy days and sunny days alike.
