Swedish fragrance brand BYREDO and OFF-WHITE c/o VIRGIL ABLOH™ have announced a capsule collection called "ELEVATOR MUSIC."
This collection, created by BYREDO founder and creative director Ben Gorham and OFF-WHITE founder and creative director Virgil Abloh, attempts to stimulate human perception by appealing to the senses as minimally as possible, much like the extremely minimal environment inside an elevator. When the collection was unveiled in Paris in March 2018, it was complemented by an installation by Carsten Höller, an artist whom both Ben and Virgil admire. The cosmetics available include an eau de parfum (100ml, ¥30,000), a hair perfume (75ml, ¥9,500), and a hand cream (30ml, ¥6,300). The fragrance, which uses bamboo, ambrette, jasmine, and amyris, is woody and refreshing, with a deep, musky quality. In addition to the cosmetics, the lineup also includes denim, T-shirts, and bags, and will be available at the Aoyama flagship store, "SOMETHING & ASSOCIATES c/o OFF-WHITE TOKYO," from June 4th.
