"Back to the Future" outdoor theater event will be held again this year at Shinjuku Central Park, with the Shinjuku night view as the backdrop

Event Date:2018.07.25-07.28
May 31, 2018
"Screen@Shinjuku Central Park 2018," an event where you can enjoy movies against the night view of Shinjuku's skyscrapers, will be held from July 25th to 28th in Shinjuku Central Park, adjacent to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building.

Held every summer since 2016, this year marks the third time the event has been held, and a giant screen has been set up in the park, surrounded by waterfalls and greenery. Guests can enjoy food and drinks while watching a movie against the backdrop of Japan's most spectacular night view of the skyscrapers. Movies are free.

This year, the event is planned to be even more powerful, with new screenings on the 27th featuring an original program of moving short films carefully selected by the Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia, Asia's largest international short film festival and an Academy Awards-accredited organization, as well as an event on the 28th where people can enjoy themselves in yukata.

The Shinjuku West Exit area is home to Japan's largest number of skyscrapers, employing approximately 270,000 people. By looking up at the screen and rediscovering the beauty of the skyscraper landscape, the event aims to foster enjoyment among participants and a sense of pride in working in this city.
Enjoy this outdoor theater event, held in Shinjuku Central Park, a favorite spot for office workers and local residents in the Shinjuku area.
