Call Me By Your Name depicts the pain and joy of two young men, one 17 and the other 24, experiencing their first and most unforgettable love. Even before its release, anticipation is building for this "true masterpiece of universal love." This screening features nine masterpieces that influenced or resonate with the film. Two classics by directors Maurice Pialat and Eric Rohmer are masterpieces by masters whose work Call Me By Your Name director Luca Guadagnino spoke of as direct influences on the film. "Goodbye First Love," directed by Mia Hansen-Løve, who inherited the genes of Pialat and Rohmer, and "The Virgin Suicides," directed by Sofia Coppola, who also captures the pure emotional pain of adolescence with a gentle, caring gaze, will be screened on 35mm film. This will be a rare opportunity to encounter their timeless worldviews.

"The Endless Love"

Gus Van Sant's "The Endless Love," which also attracted attention for Ryo Kase's appearance, celebrates unforgettable days of love with a classic song by Sufjan Stevens, who was nominated for this year's Academy Award for Best Original Song for "Call Me By Your Name" and whose performance at the awards ceremony was also a hot topic.

Also, Timothée Chalamet, who was only 22 years old when he starred in "Call Me By Your Name," where he competed with Gary Oldman until the very end for the Academy Award for Best Actor, has been described as "the second coming of Leonardo DiCaprio." Now is also a timeless classic that you should definitely check out, featuring a striking collaboration between young Leonardo DiCaprio and Johnny Depp in "What's Eating Gilbert Grape."
