KIGI, the creative unit behind "OUR FAVOURITE SHOP" in Shirokane, will be exhibiting a selection of books stored in KIGI's bookshelf at the shop and its OFS Gallery, titled "KIGI's Bookshelf."

KIGI is a unit made up of art directors Ryosuke Uehara and Yoshie Watanabe, who have worked on many of the advertisements and products that everyone has seen at least once, including for PARCO, Gogo no Kocha, and Sofina Beaute.
The unit name KIGI means "trees." Trees receive nutrients from the soil, moisture, and sunlight, and their branches and leaves continue to spread and grow. The two liken their creations to a tree, with the hope that they will one day grow into a forest.
At the event, KIGI will showcase the many books it has accumulated over the years, like the many nutrients lying dormant in the soil. Recommended books newly acquired for this project, including those encountered on travels, those that inspired its work, and those that were purchased because of their beauty, as well as rare books that are no longer available, can be enjoyed at leisure in the store's reading space.
The books can only be viewed in the exhibition space. Burdock tea will be served complimentary on a large table where the books are easy to read.
A special bookmark will be given to everyone who visits the store. In addition, third prize will be a KIGI original bag (10 people), second prize will be a signed commemorative catalogue for the Utsunomiya Museum of Art's "KIGI WORK & FREE" exhibition (July 16 - September 24, 2017) (10 people), and first prize will be a book selected from KIGI's collection (1 person).
