Vacheron Constantin has introduced the new "Fiftysix" collection, inspired by the iconic model released in 1956.

The three-hand "Fiftysix Automatic" (¥1,330,000 in stainless steel, ¥2,210,000 in 18k gold) is equipped with the new automatic movement, Caliber 1326, which boasts a power reserve of approximately 48 hours. Featuring an automatic winding rotor shaped like a Maltese cross and openworked in 22K gold, this model features hours, minutes, central seconds, a date display in an aperture, and a stop-seconds function. The transparent sapphire crystal caseback reveals the movement, which is adorned with decorative finishes such as Côtes de Genève, circular graining, and snailed edges. The steel model features a gray dial, while the pink gold model features a silver-toned dial, featuring two different finishes: opaline (center) and sunburst (periphery), creating a striking look. The baton-shaped hands and indexes are crafted from gold and coated with luminous material.


The Fiftysix Day/Date (SS ¥1.97 million, 18K Pink Gold ¥3.69 million) features a 40mm case in stainless steel or 18K (5N) pink gold. This model features a power reserve indicator along with a date and day of the week display, and is powered by the automatic caliber 2475 SC/2 movement. In addition to the stop-seconds function, the watch also features a day of the week indicator at 9 o'clock, a date indicator at 3 o'clock, and a power reserve indicator at 6 o'clock.

The openworked 22K gold rotor, visible through the transparent sapphire crystal case back, is equipped with ceramic ball bearings in its rotating mechanism, eliminating the need for lubrication and extending the life of the movement.


The "Fiftysix Complete Calendar" (¥2.46 million in stainless steel, ¥4.07 million in 18K gold) boasts a sophisticated yet elegant monochrome dial, harboring a complex mechanism highly prized among discerning watch enthusiasts and collectors. This watch is powered by the Caliber 2460 QCL/1 automatic movement, which powers a complete calendar displaying the date, day of the week, and month, as well as a moon phase mechanism. The moon phase display boasts high precision, requiring correction only once every 122 years, compared to the three years required for standard models.

The collection's distinctive monochrome dial is accented by two square apertures at the 12 o'clock position, displaying the day of the week and month. The date is indicated by a gold central hand, and the moon phase is displayed on a disc at 6 o'clock featuring an 18K gold moon against a blue night sky. This model perfectly combines the brand's stylish and refined sensibility with sophisticated complications.
Each of the three models comes with an alligator leather strap. The steel model features a polished half-Maltese cross steel folding clasp, while the gold model features a polished half-Maltese cross gold clasp. Both are scheduled to arrive in September.
