Akane Ishiga, an artist known for creating plush toy charms with a focus on materials and expressions, will be holding a new exhibition with the theme "A Zoo You Can Take Around" from December 9th to 23rd at the Tabata gallery and shop WISH LESS gallery.


Akane Ishiga works as a freelance illustrator, primarily for magazines and advertisements. While working as a freelance illustrator, Akane Ishiga began creating plush toy charms after realizing that she wanted to create a three-dimensional version of her long-time favorite drawing of "animals standing on two legs, wearing clothes." In 2014, he held his first solo exhibition, "Tiny Zoo," at the same venue, and in addition to selling his work on the web shop, he also participates in events.

This exhibition will bring together all of Akane Ishiga's stuffed animal charms, which are currently difficult to obtain and sold out in the blink of an eye on the web shop. Limited-edition items created in collaboration with popular illustrator Rob Kidney will also be available in limited quantities at the venue.


AKANE ISHIGA's fashionable, punk-inspired animals, inspired by her musical background, are not just cute but also feature subtle hints of dark humor. All of the plush toys are handmade using natural materials, offering a high-quality, warm texture that you can feel.
